Called to Serve: Chile Rancagua : Week 33: Curico, Rengo, Cachapoal

Zone Conference in Curico--1 February 2018

This week has been crazy, we were sick a lot. It was a little rough, but things are okay now. However, the highlight was definitely making my way back to Curico! The Rancagua zones (where I currently am) combined with the Curico zones and I found myself back in Alameda this week! What a sweet experience that was. I loved leading the way through the city too, back to where I started! Granted--I didn't speak very fluent Spanish back then, but I definitely learned those streets and that chapel! It was crazy too because we traveled to San Fernando, another city here in Chile, to make it to Curico in time the next morning. And we ended up staying in Cachapoal, Rancagua that night because we couldn't make it back to Rengo. So, lots of traveling this week, but I got to see lots of friends in the mission and we had so many tender merices with people and buses and walking and everything over those 3 days.

Zone conference was absolutely amazing. We talked about repentence and the process of it. It is so sad how people think of repentance as something negative sometimes. Repentance is truly a gift. It is not a sad or bad experience. Sometimes it is difficult, yes, but it a beautiful and humbling experience. It is a gift that we all have available to use. It is an opportunity to change. I loved it and it fit in with my studies of humility and patience. I am so grateful for the opportunity we all have to repent and become better people everyday. We have the opportunity to learn and grow everyday. It is truly incredible.

Though we have only had a week together, my new companion is awesome! I am learning so much from her, but I am desperately trying to avoid developing an accent from Argentina--haha!
