Week 35: Gettin' the Gang Back Together

Hello everyone!!

This week was crazy! Tuesday we were in Rancagua all day. The first part of the day was medical for my companion, and then the second part was meeting all together as a mission. It was such a sweet experience. We all had lunch together and started a fast together too. President and Hermana Harris shared beautiful messages with us and we all sang together. It was a very historic moment, all the mission together in one moment, and I can't wait to see the picture!!

Wednesday was even better. We all left in buses at about 7:15 in the morning and we went up to Santiago. Wednesday was February 14th, our 8 month mark in the mission! I can't believe its been 8 months and how sweet it was to spend it with the people that arrived with me! We definitely had to take a picture (yes mom, I know I am wearing the same dress in all the pictures I sent, but they were all from the same day). I also had the opportunity to take a picture with all the companions, past and present! That never happens--haha.

It was also the coolest day because Elder D. Todd Christofferson came to speak to our mission. We combined with Santiago Sur and it was powerful. Elder Christofferson greeted each and everyone of us too. His message focused in on the Plan of Salvation and the perfect love God has for us. There are so many intricate and complicated parts to this marvelous and perfect plan, things we can't even dream of understanding right now. It was really eye opening for me. I loved it and I have put myself to learning even more. It was so cool too because he opened the floor up to questions, a little Q and A, and this man knows his doctrine and scriptures perfectly. He doesn't teach without his scriptures, which was a powerful lesson for me. We can't always trust the words of others, but we can trust the word of God and the guidance He has given us. All in all, the experience was incredible, one we will never forget!

We also received cambios this week, and it was no surprise that I will be staying in Rengo with Hermana Morales. Makes sense since she only has a couple weeks here with the special transfers. Excited to continue working in Rengo!

Have a great week!! Lots of love to you all!

Con amor,

Hermana Eibert
