Week 61: Hitler le ama

P-day emails in the Internet Cafe in Talco with Hermans Eibert and Collins--20 August 2018

It was a busy week this week. Lots of running and working hard. The weather is in that awkward stage where it is freezing in the morning and you need to bundle up and by mid-afternoon you are sweating up a storm with the scorching sun. Welcome spring...

My two favorite contacts of the week:

 1) We went to buy sandwiches from the restaurant next to our house called Senor de la Noche. Our neighbor is cool and while we were ordering and waiting for the food he asked us a bunch of questions about what we do and all and then invited us over to share a little more this next week. Cherry on top of a very good day. And chicken guacamole sandwiches....doesn't get better than that.

2) Stopped an older gentleman in the street and we asked him what his name was. He yelled Hail Hitler and we stood there staring at him. We didn't know if he was joking, or being rude, or if he was just crazy. But in the end he asked us what message we had to share...and my sweet companion, in the moment, stumbled on her words and said we testify of how Hitler loves us. Don't worry, we saved the contact and found out he really is just crazy--so it's all good. But it was the funniest thing.

Today we had our zone activity and played futbol/soccer. Cheeseburgers with the zone after! Good day.

Very short and sweet this week....

Thought of the week:

Every moment has eternal significance. We shouldn't waste a minute. Every minute we lose is a minute we won't get back. And we shouldn't worry so much...worrying doesn't fix anything. That is something I am still learning--haha. But patience with others and our ourselves makes every moment more enjoyable.

Love you all. Have a great week.

Con amor,
Hermana Eibert
